December 18, 2014, MISSION, BC – QuestUpon has partnered with the District of Mission Economic Development and Tourism in creating an interactive experience that brings culture and heritage alive. The “Sasquatch in Mission” quest, located at Heritage Park, is an interactive geo-locative adventure that will have you geocaching, traveling back in time, answering trivia, finding 3D augmented reality objects, and even getting a chance to see Sasquatch up close!
“In 2011 we launched our pilot project, Legend Tracker, and have continued developing into what is now QuestUpon”, says Miles Marziani, CEO and Founder. “The quest at Heritage Park is a great example of a gamified walking tour which includes missions such as looking back in time at buildings that once stood there to taking a photo of a 3D sternwheeler travelling the Fraser River.”
With their mobile device, the user embarks on an array of missions that will ultimately guide them through the park.

Our test groups have validated that what we’ve developed does this, and at the same time they are having fun, and learning about culture. Similar to the movie, Night at the Museum, things come alive and educate people on stuff they don’t normally see in their everyday life – we are essentially providing edutainment that appeals to a broad age group.
